Project: Solar PV, Battery Storage and Insulation for Maisemore Village Hall

Reference: MVH-SOLAR-2025

Maisemore Village Hall is seeking tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of a new solar photovoltaic (PV) system, battery storage solution, and associated insulation works to improve the Hall’s energy efficiency.

We anticipate installing 20–30 kWp of solar panels on our south-facing roof, supported by a battery system of around 50 kWh capacity. In addition, proposals should consider the incorporation of insulation measures to maximise the benefit of the renewable installation.

As a registered charity, Maisemore Village Hall believes it may be exempt from paying VAT on this renewable energy project (solar, battery, and insulation). Tenderers are asked to set out costs clearly and indicate VAT treatment within their submissions.

Scope of Works

Supply and installation of solar PV panels (estimated 20–30 kWp capacity, south-facing roof).
Supply and installation of a battery storage system (approx. 50 kWh capacity).
Supply and installation of appropriate insulation measures to support energy efficiency.
Integration with the existing electrical infrastructure of the Village Hall.
Provision of monitoring and maintenance options.
Compliance with all relevant UK regulations, standards, and planning permissions.

Requirements

Evidence of experience delivering comparable renewable energy projects.
Full design proposals including panel layout, battery specification, inverter details, and insulation approach.
Clear project timeline with key milestones.
Comprehensive costings, with VAT treatment indicated.
Details of warranties, service agreements, and expected system performance.
