Introducing The Cosy Corner at the Village Hall!

This winter, we’re launching a temporary special space at the village hall called the “The Cosy Corner” a warm, welcoming room where you can meet friends, have a chat, and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee – and perhaps some soup! There will be absolutely no cost to attend and it is open to all ages.

Why are we doing this?

As the colder, darker months set in, we want to offer a comfortable spot to brighten your day and keep you connected with others in the community.

The planned dates are below and published in the Grapevine. We have worked to ensure we don’t clash with other events like the church coffee morning,

Some useful notes:

If you have any dietary requirements or allergies, please inform us via text, phone, or email. We’re happy to accommodate everyone.
Newspapers will be provided for general use (two or three each week), but if you’ve finished reading your own and are willing to share, feel free to bring it along for others to enjoy.

Now, a small disclaimer: as this is our first time organising such an activity, a bit of mayhem and faff is to be expected. But rest assured, the heart of it all is a warm space where villagers can gather for a friendly chat and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere.

We’d also be most grateful for any assistance with setting up chairs, or lending a hand with the teas and coffees—it’s a team effort, after all! We will start set-up at 9:30am and clean-up will be 1pm to 1:30pm.

Tickets: are used to manage the numbers and to ensure we minimise waste. Once we are up and running we will get a paper list of who is coming each week. You will only be able to reserve one week in advance.
